Via press release on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, the Commission detailed Executive Director Shields’ participation in the “Fund PA Public Defenders – We Can’t Afford to Wait” press conference at the East Wing Rotunda of the Pennsylvania Capitol. The event highlighted the need to increase state funding for indigent defense services in our Commonwealth, an issue for which the Commission has long advocated.
