On Thursday, May 22, 2025, PCFJ distributed to Pennsylvania law school administrators and other stakeholders its annual infographics detailing the most recent round of PA attorney demographic data published by the Disciplinary Board and presenting demographic trends for the past seven years over which the data has been published.
The data demonstrates that although the percentage of women and people of color registered to practice law has modestly increased over the last several years, there are still significant discrepancies between the registered attorney population and the Census data as well as PA law school demographics. Therefore, while Pennsylvania has made demonstrable progress, our work to promote representation and belonging in legal education and the legal profession continues.
